2001 Production History
Tartuffe: The Visitor images
Sojourn's biting response to the United State's post 9/11 political and culture climate. This adaptation of the classic Moliere farce explored fanaticism, vengeance, and nationalism through a prism of dark humor and revolving identity. A mix of movement, new text, and old verse, the production revisited an aesthetic the company had begun in its excavation of Ionesco's Rhinoceros back in Virginia.
